1st Shift 

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm

Pay $18-$26/ hour

CNC Operator Job Responsilbities:

 

  • Manufacture precision machined parts by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
  • Load feed mechanisms by lifting stock into position.
  • Verify settings by measuring positions, first-article, and sample work pieces; adhering to international and company standards.
  • Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; replacing worn tools; adhering to company’s quality assurance procedures and processes.
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and requirements.
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Document actions by completing production tags and logs.
  • Maintain detailed accuracy and integrity of computerized production monitoring equipment mounted on all relevant workstations, immediately notifying Department Supervisor of any malfunction or inaccuracies displayed on monitors.
  • Report to Department Supervisor all occurrences of scrap parts produced.
  • Job duties include running multiple equipment if feasible.
  • Document Statistical Process Control (SPC) chart requirements for every operation performed, as described in the Baumann Engineering Manufacturing Policy Handbook.
  • Verify and on firm daily production with Production Process Coordinator.
  • Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Use and apply AS 9100 procedures, processes, instructions and data collection as applicable.
  • All other reasonable duties as directed by the Department Supervisor, SMC Manager, and/or General Manager.
  • Continual Improvement of the Operating Processes

Job Requirements

Coordination, Ability to Lift up to 40 lbs of materials, Attention to Detail, Willing to ask for Directions when needed:

  • Equipment Operations (Machinery or Computers)
  • Blue Print interpretation
  • Test & Inspections
  • Software MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Technical (as needed)
  • Knowledge of Calipers, Micrometers, Scales
  • Specialized Processes
  • Departmental Processes
