ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Welds metal parts together using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes.
• Performs related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding.
• Provides guidance and training to subassembly team members in techniques for welding metal element
• Develops and maintains
• Identifies tooling requirements to meet schedules and ensures proper tooling is available for production.
• Participates in process improvement efforts with Manufacturing Engineering and Supervision.
• Ensures machinery and equipment are operational.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Graduation from High School or its equivalent and one year Welder certificate from college or technical school; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other team members.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must be certified welder per MIL STD. 1595
