In Lansing, MI we are searching for direct hire Maintenance Technicians (Level 1, 2, 3, 4) for one of our manufacturing clients. Pay will vary based on experience $25.00 - $40.00 / hour.

Available shifts:

2nd Shift: 2:00pm – 10:15pm

3rd Shift: 10:00pm – 6:15am

Duties of a Maintenance Technician:

• Basic knowledge and use of voltage meters, reading electrical schematics and measuring tools.
• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
• Learn and improve skills to become Maintenance Technician 2.
•  All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Computer proficiency – email, Word, Excel required; SAP a plus
• Diploma or GED 

• Minimum 1 years of manufacturing experience in automotive industry with emphasis on stamping related equipment.

• Troubleshooting skills
• Ability to update standard work forms
• conduct performance evaluations
• Ability to work overtime as needed

Preferred Skills:

• 3+ years of Maintenance experience
• PLC’s (ABB/Allen Bradley)
• Manufacturing experience Automotive experience
• Press experience preferred
• Assembly line experience preferred
• Trumpf Lasers a plus
