Direct Hire Purchasing Agent needed in Coon Rapids! 

Flexible with schedule and shift!

Salary: $55,000-63,000

Sign on bonus of $2,500!

General Summary:

The Purchasing Agent will work to ensure that all items assigned (materials, components, parts, general supplies) are ordered accurately and timely by verifying requirements, preparing and placing the purchase order, and validating the vendor acknowledgments are timely and their dates do not negatively affect operations.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

• Orders assigned items as needed and scheduled.
• Prepares purchase orders;
• Obtain vendor quote if needed.
• Verifies purchase requisitions by comparing items requested (ie: BOM’s) to vendor lists and clarifying unclear items before generating an order.
• Verifying specifications and pricing. If needed, obtaining recommendations from engineers for substitute items.
• Placing purchase orders
• Generate the Order in CRM software.
• Forward orders to suppliers, receiving acknowledgements and validating dates match factory needs; monitoring and expediting orders if needed.
• Building and maintaining positive, long-term supplier relations.
• As needed, monitoring inventory levels and determining purchase needs.
• As needed, verifies receipt of  items by comparing items received to item ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.
• As needed, participates in inventory reconciliations.
