A client of ours in Grand Ledge, MI is searching for a Tool Technician II on day shift for their direct hire opportunity. Pay varies based on experience.

In this role you will be responsible for assisting in the building of tools and dies as directed.

 Shift: Monday-Thursday 5:00a-3:30p

Duties of a Tool Technician:

• Framing dies
• Laminating tools and dies
• Assisting with tool and die repairs.
• Work closely with engineers in product development, troubleshooting and correcting problems, resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications.
• Perform fabrication and fitter cuts, align and fits structural metal parts together.
• Experience in welding for example tack-weld and mig welding .
• Requires use of hand tools including air tools and powered saws.
• Set-up, operate, and repair equipment .

Job Requirements

• high school diploma or equivalent
• Basic math skills
• Good reading, writing, communication and organizational skills.
