Material Handler Job Details:

  • Meet with preceding shift's Floor Material Handler to discuss issues, problems, and floor status.
  • Check floor at shit start t required pallets, boxes, inserts, returnable containers, needed components, etc. in assigned area.
  • Maintain necessary packaging, boxes, pallets, skids, returnable, etc. at each machine in assigned work area to ensure attainment of requirement of schedule and compliance to plant housekeeping guidelines.
  • Move full pallets of manufactured parts or partial pallets as necessary to warehouse transfer point or ovens as required.
  • Execute necessary information on press mold change set up sheets in a timely fashion as this relates to tool changes.
  • Clean out press receivers and filters at mold change, or as is necessary, to maintain an even flow of correct materials at the machines. 
  • Clean out press side grinders at mold changes or as is necessary in order to proportion desired regrind to the molding machines.
  • At mold changes, or as is necessary, weigh and label regrind barrels and transfer them to prescribed warehouse drop-off point.
  • Perform minor preventative maintenance activity to press receivers in order to ensure  required flow of materials for molding.
  • Maintain an orderly state of housekeeping at press work stations in assigned area.
  • Order necessary regrind for molding presses in order to achieve specified part virgin / regrind ratios.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures ( i.e., quality manual, associate handbook, level II procedures, etc.) 
  • Comply with of all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective area. 

 

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Sit-down Forklift (Propane) experience is required within the last 6 months. 
  • High School Diploma, GED or 3-6 months of related experience / training.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability  to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.\
  • Ability to lift or move up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to distinguish color variation
