The position of the Line Inspector consists of inspecting parts and ensuring quality is consistently achieved. Manage inspection processes to ensure all parts produced meet customer specification.
• Inspect in process material against the production order and part prints
• Thoroughly inspect part lengths and all critical dimensions
• Learn and understand customer specific requirements
• Ensure required stretching blocks and gauges are used
• Alert supervisor when suspect or out of tolerance material is found
• Monitor dimensional variances during the stretch and quench processes
• Conduct First Article inspections
• Complete any required inspection documentation
• Perform daily press duties as required
• Assist production as needed
• High School Diploma
• Strong math skills
• Ability to analyze information provided on blueprints
• Strong computer skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to learn to use ERP software
• Understand how to read Aluminum Association Table 11.2 (not a must but a plus)
• Able to interpret part drawings and measurement requirements
• Experience using tape measure, calipers, and micrometers
• Good communication skills
• Able to represent Paramount Extrusions in a positive and professional manner
