In Lansing, MI a client of ours is looking for 2nd and 3rd shift Controls Maintenance Technicians for direct hire opportunities. Pay for this role will vary based on experience.

Duties of a Controls Maintenance Technician:

• Responsible for activities regarding design, construction, modification and maintenance of equipment and machinery in manufacturing so that throughput, inventory, and operating expense objectives are achieved. 
• Inspects and repairs machinery and equipment based on operating parameters, according to engineering principles and safety regulations.
• Responsible for electrical work, troubleshooting and programming activities regarding design, construction, modification and maintenance of equipment and machinery in manufacturing throughout for inventory and operating expense objectives are achieved. 

Job Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent, with technical school degree or equivalent of training or experience required.  
• Journeyman Electrician license preferred.
• Master Electrician license or equivalent.
• Minimum four years of maintenance experience in automotive industry.
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Proficient in programming logic controllers (PLC), Allen-Bradley and Siemens.
• Proficient with Servo drive reading and understanding (electrical, hydraulic)
• Strong all-around welding skills (MIG, TIG, Arc).
• Experience in RSLOGIX, Siemens, various robotic knowledge
• Experience with Robot programming – ABB, Fanuc, Motoman.
• Experience with Vision Systems programming desired – Keyence and SICK
• Experienced in configuring and designing HMI systems – Allen-Bradley and PC
• Ability to understand, identify, and use hydraulic crimping devices
• Able to design and build a small machine from ground up.
• Advanced troubleshooting skill and mechanical aptitude.
• Comfortable using hand power tools.
• Complete understanding of all press lines and processes; be able to successfully operate all machinery.
• Must possess solid understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and electrical.
