ResourceMFG is searching for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager for one of our Direct Hire opportunities. Pay for this role ranges based off experience.

In this role you will perform functions to lead Manufacturing Engineering, and Engineering Services, with responsibility for the supervision, formulation, administration, and coordination of engineering projects. Creation of policies, processes, and procedures designed to improve manufacturing performance. You will support and maintain new product development projects, while reducing waste and delays. Lead all projects with a focus on improving quality and cost. Support Global engineering needs as requested.

Duties of a Manufacturing Engineering Manager:

  • Lead Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Services and support new product development projects and operations
  • Plan, prioritize, assign work, monitor projects, and provide assistance when required.
  • Utilize our culture and values, to guide the CI organization. Align your leadership technics to follow each of the value threads and individual statements listed under each of the values.
  • Provide strategic planning and recommendations to meet company goals and objectives.
  • Develop, monitor, and adjust budgets for areas of responsibility.
  • Lead the engineering change process.
  • Manage item entry, routings, rates, and Bills of Material. 
  • Lead manufacturing engineering activities including routings, procedures, packaging, plant layout and material handling.
  • Oversee the design and maintenance of these activities to ensure company can produce quality products.
  • Lead the Tool and Die design and controlled processes.
  • Support NPD through process phase and launch, and tooling development, as well as support all legacy tools and dies.
  • Have general knowledge of each production areas processes.
  • Have general knowledge of the application methods of NA manufactured product and be able to demonstrate installation.
  • Identify areas we can improve our manufacturing processes to improve, Safety, Quality, Delivery, or Cost.
  • Direct team to provide input to product designs for manufacturability and completeness.
  • Oversee plant maintenance and facilities, implementing industry leading techniques and processes to increase equipment uptime & reliability to meet based on established KPI’s.
  • Collaborate with other managers to eliminate waste, address deficiencies in the system, and share best practices.  
  • Responsible for anticipating technical staffing needs of the business, to ensure a pipeline of technical talent is in place through hiring.
  • Responsible for working with Human Resources to constantly evolve your career development, training, and performance management techniques.
  • Work on other Engineering Management projects as assigned by Manager.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering related field required.
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering or Business preferred.
  • 7+ years in Design or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 7+ years managing people and/or processes
  • Proven track record of process improvement
  • Travel 30-50% of the time, including international travel
