ResourceMFG is searching for a Warehouse Supervisor for a Direct Hire opportunity for one of our Food Manufacturing / Distributers in Battle Creek, MI. Pay for this role will vary depending on experience. 

In this role you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of employees that involve receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment and parts, in a small to mid-size warehouse and yard. 

Shift: 3rd Shift – 12p – 8a

Duties of a Warehouse Supervisor: 

  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the warehouse; including but not limited to:
    • Hold team accountable to company policies: Ex. Attendance and Safety First mentality
    • Ensure all SKU’s are tracked accurately on all orders
    • Ensure all monthly safety training is completed
  • Ensure proper execution and implementation of all policies, procedures with regard to picking, packing, shipping, receiving and inventory management 
  • Train and evaluate warehouse staff on effective inventory techniques and daily tasks
  • Assists and maintain appropriate inventory levels and product loss control
  • Schedule and manage warehouse team members within labor and budget while meeting the demands of the facility
  • Ensure compliance with safety codes, policies, and procedures of the Company and standards established by Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
  • Ensure all equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, and fleet trucks, is properly maintained and inspection practices are followed
  • Ability to work in cold (non-weather) temperatures
  • Follows and enforces all company policies and procedures regarding GMPs, SOPs and Quality standards
  • Maintains an air of professionalism and communicates effectively
  • Demonstrates problem solving and decision making ability
  • Ability to prioritize and follow up on previous activities


Job Requirements

  • DSD experience is required
  • Perishable food experience, required
  • Dairy experience is a plus
  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma preferred (GED)
  • 3 years of demonstrated leadership experience in warehouse/distribution center operations
  • 2 years of experience with Microsoft Excel
  • 2 years analyzing data associated with processes, identifying opportunities, and providing recommendations for improvement
  • 2 years of experience with Occupational Safety Regulations
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to operate a forklift preferred
