Maintenance Technicians are needed for our client in Battle Creek, MI specializing in automotive manufacturing. All experience levels welcome (Level I, Level II, Level III), pay ranging based off experience, 2nd and 3rd shift available!

In this role you will support manufacturing operations by maintaining, trouble shooting and repairing all facilities and manufacturing equipment in a safe and orderly fashion as directed by the maintenance supervisor.

Duties of a Maintenance Technician: 

  • Attain safety, quality and productivity goals
  • Troubleshoot plant facilities and production equipment problems
  • Maintain and update equipment records, schematics, blueprints and files in orderly fashion
  • Obtain training for professional development and to stay current on maintenance and safety requirements
  • Complete all work in accordance with OSHA, NEC, JIC and DNR standards and regulations
  • Complete correspondence, forms and reports using personal computer and required software
  • Maintain department repair parts stock and inventory
  • Attend training as required
  • Handle confidential information on a regular basis
  • Encourage safety and housekeeping practices and lead by example
  • Promote and facilitate Open Door process and Fair Treatment
  • Participate in Continual Improvement activities
  • Adhere to customer requirements, Business Operating System and company policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Available to work every other weekend
  • Electrical in manufacturing environment, preferably aluminum die casting and CNC
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience 
  • Associate’s Degree or previous experience required
  • Forklift License required
  • Able to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Able to work flexible hours and overtime to be available to three (3) shifts
  • Able to use computer and software as required
  • Able to work to blueprints and sketches
  • Must have good color vision to perform electronic and electrical maintenance and repairs
  • Able to lift 75 pounds
  • Able to work at heights of 40 to 60 feet and in confined spaces
  • Must be able to understand written instructions
