Process Technician  Up to 28 per hour Work 36 hours, paid for 40

Resource MFG is looking for experienced Process Techs for a client in Vicksburg! In this role you will be responsible to manage the daily operations of the production floor while working with management to identify opportunities within our operation and executing plans to drive long term improvements while meeting customer demand. This individual will be responsible for daily shift performance in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, cost and 5s.

Process Technician Duties:

  • Review production jobs to ensure meeting safety, quality and cost standards
  • Report daily shift metrics
  • Process/sample wide variety of materials
  • Provide technical support for production
  • Oversee assigned presses, personnel, equipment and materials
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).  3+ years of injection molding plastics processing experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Above average computer skills required including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).  Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. 
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.  Must be able to obtain a forklift, ariel lift and overhead crane license.  Must be willing to obtain certifications as the job warrants.
  • The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat and risk of electrical shock.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
