Schedule: May be required to work any shift (1st/2nd/3rd/4th), including weekends

Pay: $23 per hour


This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, installing and upgrading High-Speed automated equipment (mechanical, electrical and electronic systems) and perform set-ups of injection molding machines to achieve parts within specification. Related equipment that will be utilized in our Tucson facility.


  • Service control systems ranging from electromechanical devices and systems to high-speed robotics and PLCs, types of systems include robotic assembly devices, electronic sensors, vision systems, conveyors, electrical distribution systems, and building automation systems
  • Perform mold changes in a variety of injection molding presses or process changes to prescribed time, temperature and pressure settings
  • Set up and operate secondary equipment, complete paperwork as required
  • Assure that all processes are producing acceptable parts
  • Operate machines and/or train machine operators
  • Identify and implement manufacturing and/or molding process improvement opportunities for quality, delivery performance and throughput
  • Confirms that maintenance on molds and equipment are performed to meet department standards; follows up to assure mold surfaces are cleaned and documented
  • Ensure effective use of continuous improvement tools to prevent future or recurring failures of equipment, and injuries or incidents
  • Participates actively in all 5S and Safety activities


Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A.S. degree in Electromechanical Technology
  • 3+ years of experience in Injection Molding equipment
  • Understanding of drawings and schematics (mechanical, electrical & hydraulic).
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of industry Safety practices and OSHA guidelines
  • Working knowledge of Windows, Excel, and Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Managing or leading teams to achieve company objectives
  • Applied experience with Allen-Bradley PLC Control Systems
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
