At Resource MFG we are looking for a Operations Manager

Pay will be up to 110k Depending on your experience

Schedule: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Monday - Friday

 

Position Summary: The Operations Manager manages and coordinates all aspects of the production process.  As a member of the senior management team reporting directly to the President you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the company overseeing the machining department, assembly department, welding department, testing department, purchasing department and the shipping & receiving department.  The Operations Manager will lead and manage a team of machinists, assemblers, and welders as well as work closely with engineering to successfully accomplish the final product. Participates in the areas of process development, tool design, CNC programming, machinery & equipment acquisition, layout, and operations, and other duties associated with engineering support of production. Acts as a liaison to vendors.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages the manufacturing, ordering material, assembly and other related production procedures.
  • Leads and manages a team of machinists, assemblers, and fabricators.
  • Works closely with engineering to successfully accomplish the final product. 
  • Participates in the areas of process development, tool design, CNC programming, machinery & equipment acquisition, layout, and operations, duties associated with engineering support of production, and production management. 
  • Daily problem solving and engineering problems related to production and quality

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience working with the design and manufacturing of High Speed Rotating equipment, centrifugal compressors and/or related to within the Oil and Gas Processing Industry.
  • 5-10 years’ experience in manufacturing management.
  • 3-5 years minimum experience required in manufacturing engineering with hands-on startup and troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must include experience in assembly, machining environment including 5- Axis CNC  lathes, milling, drill press, grinding machines. Additional experience in project management utilizing organizational skills would be a plus.
  • Ability to build manufacturing forecast and define priorities.
  • Ability to read and interpret  blueprints “detailed fabrication drawings”
  • Knowledge of engineering and machining process and procedures a must (fabrication routing).
  • Experience in Purchasing, shipping and receiving.
  • Experience with MRP – ERP systems
  • Experience with ISO 9001 system a plus.
  • Must have excellent organizational and analytical skills and have the ability to efficiently and effectively meet crucial deadlines.
  • Knowledge of engineering process and procedures a must.
  • Able to read and understand technical drawings including machined parts, assembly drawings, bill of materials.
  • Strong leadership skills and exceptional communication skills with the ability to train and motivate. 
  • Ability to make contributions in continuous improvements, training production personnel, developing maintenance procedures, and interfacing with engineering.
  • Solid and thorough understanding of ISO (Oil & Gas Industries).
  • Bilingual required.
  • Performs other related duties, as required.
  • 4 year degree and/or equivalent experience.
  • The position will require problem solving daily engineering problems related to production and quality.
