Are you an experienced Drywall Installer?  If so we would like to meet you!

We are seeking a Drywall Installer for our client in the city of Long Beach!

The Drywall, Framing & Finishing worker is a member of the Manufacturing Production Team and is responsible for accurately and efficiently manufacturing of Modular Structures. You will use your experience and training to support the production of quality structures according to standards and timelines as provided by your Station Lead. You will bring your experience in structures and steel in various industries to contribute to and improve the first stage of our manufacturing process. Below is a description of the primary job responsibilities and key skills and attributes that are essential to the position.

Monday - Friday 5:00 am - 1:30 pm plus OT!

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Measure surfaces and lay out reference lines and points.
  • Review documentation to determine installation method and tool requirements.
  • Fit or fasten wallboard or drywall into position on metal frameworks.
  • Hang dry lines to wall moldings.
  • Measure and cut openings in panels for electrical outlets, windows, vents, plumbing, or other fixtures using appropriate tools.
  • Trim rough edges from wallboard to maintain even joints.
  • Cut and screw together metal channels.
  • Follow instructions of Station Lead or Production Supervisor and ask for clarification where further directions are required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area

Job Requirements

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • General knowledge of construction and/or manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to do basic math and measure square footage and calculate weight.
  • Experience with and understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and 5S.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, pick, pinch, grasp, feel, and perform repetitive motion.
  • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Visual activity to perform and activity such as: operating machines where the seeing job is at or within arm’s reach; performs mechanical or skilled trades tasks of a non-repetitive nature, such as carpenter, technicians, service people, plumbers, painters, mechanics, etc.
  • Subject to environmental conditions such as heat, cold, noise, vibration, hazards, and atmospheric conditions.
  • Function in narrow aisles or passageways.
