Our Client in the Golden needs a Safety Coordinator!!!

General Description:

Responsible for outlining and implementing training programs to educate and inform  workforce on work safety, environmental safety, and accident prevention regulations and procedures. Tracks and documents incidents to understand root causes and recommend changes to prevent future incidents. Performs inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes, recommends corrective actions and/or additional precautions to ensure compliance to established regulations. Documents injury/illness/near misses/first aid incidents and distributes reports to Management. Contributes to the implementation of robust corrective and preventive actions. Promotes a safe working environment through training, performing accident investigations, and improving conditions based on near miss reports. Hands-on approach to safety in the facility.


$55,000.00 To 75,000.00 Annually


Mondays - Fridays, 10 am - 7 pm

Primary Duties & Responsibilities for Safety Coordinator: 

  • Collaborates with Management to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures for adherence to OSHA requirements.
  • Works with cross-functional departments for implementation of work policies and procedures for safe performance and workplace.
  • Reviews and interprets relevant statutory, regulatory requirements and develops policies and procedures for compliance.
  • Performs incident investigations and formally reports the findings to Management.
  • Identifies opportunities to minimize/eliminate workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
  • Coordinates with third parties to test and monitor potential environmental issues such as Hexavalent Chromium and sound levels.
  • Coordinates annual testing for employees regarding hearing, vision, respirator fit, etc.
  • Coordinates employee training program on applicable safety standards.

Job Requirements

Education and/or Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Previous experience working in a metal fab shop.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • MSOffice.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Previous experience in a Safety role is required.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish would be an advantage.

Licenses and/or Certifications:

  • OSHA 30 certification preferred


  • Ability to travel up to 10%
