San Jacinto Manufacturing Facility Urgently Seeking Supervisor

The primary responsibility of the production supervisor is to maintain and monitor all injection molding machines, and to maintain all production labor at the required level.   

 

Salary: Based on experience

Schedule: Monday–Friday, Morning Shift

                                                                                                                                                           

Duties will consist of the following:

  • Maintain the operation of all current injection molding machines at the std. cycle times.
  • Monitor the quality of all product being produced by inspecting and verifying visual and dimensional, (fit form function) conformance to specifications of the product (part print).
  • Maintain all required documentation for the daily production report (I.Q.M.S) and maintaining the daily production log book. Communicating any information regarding production problems, Safety concerns, machine and or mold maintenance issues and or any other shift related information that needs to be passed on to the next shift.
  • Understanding of proper set-up and start-up process of injection molds and molding machines.
  • Shift supervisor to direct and instruct groups of people 25-35 in degating, trimming, and packing of product. Verifying that all product is properly accounted for at the end of each shift.
  • Carry out all company rules and policies regarding Safety and standard operating procedures and any applicable laws.
  • Shift supervisor will hold a minimum of two shift meetings per month one Quality meeting on Friday pay period and one Safety meeting on Friday pay period, both meetings will be documented and retained in separate binders.
  • May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as needed. 

 

Job Requirements

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as Safety rules, operation and process instructions, and procedure manuals in the English Language. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers and employees of the organization.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, 10 years manufacturing –experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
