We are searching for a payroll administrator within Moorpark CA!



An Essential part of the financial team. Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution, and reconciliation of payroll and administration of the payroll system.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Payroll Administration responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Process bi-weekly payroll using ADP Run, produce manual salary calculations as and when requested

• Review the computation of pay and associated deductions including, taxes, wage, garnishment and voluntary contributions to benefits program for accuracy

• Understand and set up required tax filings in ADP; understand and follow applicable provisions

• Prepare journal entries to record and accrue payroll expenses per payroll records

• Reconcile General Ledger balances with payroll records • Reconcile payroll bank statement monthly

• Reconcile 401(K) deposits with payroll records

• Reconcile prepaid benefits (Health, FSA, and other voluntary plans) with payroll deductions

• Reconcile PTO balance with payroll changes and prepare journal entry for necessary adjustment

• Prepare year-end per ADP check list

• Reconcile payroll reporting (including W2s and 1095-Cs) of earnings, taxes, and deductions with payroll records

• Issue and distribute accurate W2s and 1095s timely

• Handle requests for information and help from colleagues, HR, and executives

• Prepare reports to provide information and supporting documentation for company executives, HR, and Finance when requested

• Comply with financial controls in accordance with the company’s policy and procedures

• Secure related documentation • Report unusual fluctuations to management • ADP badge issuance • Other duties as assigned 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS Payroll Administrators must have:

• Personal qualities of being trustworthy, honest, communicative, helpful, responsive, approachable and highly confidential

• Two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent

  • Processed payroll for at least 100 people using ADP system
