Description

We are now seeking Mechanical Inspector for a sheet metal company located in San Jose, CA! Shift time: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Pay rate:$19.00-$21.00 Job Description: 1) Reads and interprets materials, such as work orders, inspection manuals, and blueprints, to determine inspection and test procedures. 2) Analyzes and interprets sample data. 3) Installs and positions new or replacement parts, components, and instruments. 4) Estimates and records operational data. 5) Completes necessary procedures to satisfy licensing requirements, and indicates concurrence with acceptance or rejection decisions. 6) Confers with vendors and others regarding inspection results, recommends corrective procedures, and compiles reports of results, recommendations, and needed repairs. 7) Cleans and maintains test equipment and instruments to ensure proper functioning. 8) Tests and measures finished products, components, or assemblies for functioning, operation, accuracy, or assembly to verify adherence to functional specifications. 9) Inspects materials, products, and work in progress for conformance to specifications, and adjusts process or assembly equipment to meet standards. 10) Starts and operates finished products for testing or inspection. 11) Reads dials and meters to ensure that equipment is operating according to specifications. 12) Collects samples for testing, and computes findings. 13) Marks items for acceptance or rejection, records test results and inspection data, and compares findings with specifications to ensure conformance to standards. 14) Discards or rejects products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications. Requirements: 1) Mechanical -- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. 2) Engineering and Technology -- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the diagram.
