Director of Paid Acquisition
Raleigh, NC or Remote

This role reports to the SVP of Planning and analytics and works cross functionally with our DTC brand teams. You will be responsible for managing marketing spend and performance forecasting, and will work closely with the Finance team to ensure top and bottom line growth. To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be extremely data-driven, have exceptional analytical skills, be a strong communicator with the ability to present learnings and have a go-getter attitude. We are looking for an independent, creative problem-solver with great business acumen and analytical skills.

 

A successful candidate for this role will have experience in acquisition marketing – ranging across search and shopping, mobile marketing, display advertising, performance social media, and conversion optimization to name a few, as well as experience testing and prioritizing initiatives to scale acquisition marketing efforts.

 

You will:

  • Strategize, plan, execute, manage and optimize digital campaigns inclusive of shopping, paid search, display, paid social. Own the return on investment for all digital channels across all lines of business.
  • Work with brand teams and outside agencies to drive growth through innovative and efficient marketing performance.
  • Identify and convert data analysis into actionable insights for customer acquisition
  • Drive robust and detailed measurement and reporting processes. Define and monitor KPIs, channel success, and campaign performance. Design dashboards, communicate with leadership
  • Perform regular reviews with all agencies. Manage budgeting process for customer acquisition, including annual plan, forecasting and ROI assessments
  • Define and oversee the audience targeting and budget allocation across paid digital channels to align with campaign goals and drive leads
  • Manage the continuous optimization of digital marketing performance leveraging data analytics and A/B testing.
  • Collaborate with the product team to identify and implement solutions to improve conversion
  • Serve as SME in all cross-functional strategic planning activities, defining best use of marketing spend to achieve brand and financial objectives

 

 

You will need:

 

  • 7+ years of experience in customer acquisition roles, specialized in D2C
  • Experience managing large media budgets
  • Experience managing agencies
  • Heavy experience managing and optimizing SEM and Shopping campaigns
  • Equal parts strategic thinker and hands-on ”do-er” and builder
  • High proficiency with analytics and performance monitoring, and ability to do deep data analysis to develop recommendations
  • Expert understanding of Google Ads, Google Analytics, proficiency in Data Studio, BQ/Google environment. SQL a plus
  • Experience with financial/budget forecasting and ROI assessment/tracking
  • Experience working in a cross-functional role/organization
  • Agency experience a plus
