A tortilla manufacture located in Baldwin Park is in need of a sanitation person with lead experience in food industry.
3RD SHIFT. Start time ranges from 7pm-9pm and will work until about 3am.
Rate: $20/HR DOE • Medical – company covers 65%

– Available upon hired Description: SPECIFIC DUTIES
• Responsible for following all Food Safety Policies & Safety Procedures.
• Effectively lead shift to ensure plant cleanliness, productivity, quality, and safety standards are met.
• Plan and coordinate daily sanitation activities to ensure cleaning schedules are met.
• When necessary, inform Coordinator of issues in the department.
• Promote teamwork and a constructive work environment.
• Ensuring that all equipment is properly cleaned, sanitized, and inspected for cleanliness.
• Wear proper PPE and follow GMP’s and other company rules.
• Uses food safety work practices’ ensuring no product is contaminated as consequences of conducting duties of this position.
• Assists in QC/Pre-Operational environmental investigations.
• Responsible for the general clean-up of the production departments.
• Promote teamwork and a constructive work environment.
• Ensure that Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures are followed as required.
• Take full ownership of assigned area of responsibility
. • Maintains active working knowledge of all sanitation and cleaning procedures.
• Ensures sanitizing chemicals, safety equipment, power equipment and manual tools are being used correctly and safely.
• Ensures proper chemical handling techniques while wearing the proper PPE.
• Maintains all buildings by washing walls, ceilings, floors, removing trash and disinfects all refrigerator units and cleans trash room. • Responsible for keeping assigned work area clean and tidy at all times and reporting any potential contamination.
