Contract, Possible long term A quality assurance inspector is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and proposing measures to correct or improve product quality standards. Ensure compliance, inspection and record keeping
Collect inspection data and report results Ensure raw materials received meet specifications Perform testing and inspection at various stages of production, including visual and dimensional inspection
Use handheld inspection tools for measurement purposes, such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparator, gage blocks, and dial indicators.
Conduct physical inspection of product utilizing both handheld inspection tools as well as non-contact inspection equipment. Perform visual and/or cosmetic inspection of product following applicable procedure(s) using appropriate light sources.
Complete First Article Inspections as well as receiving, in-process, and final and packaging inspections against customer requirements with minimal supervision Inspect customer-returned parts.
Requirements A minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in a manufacturing and or industrial setting.
Experience in Quality Inspection (required) and Lean Manufacturing (preferred) Blue Print Reading
Skills required GD&T Visual Quality Assurance Working knowledge of inspection equipment including non-contact inspection equipment
