General Production - Bowling Green 

Shift: 1st 6:00am - 2:30pm - 3rd 9:30pm - 6:00am

Training for 6 weeks on 1st then move to 3rd

Pay: 1st $15 - 3rd $18

Job Summary: Tend to one or more machine tools, special-purpose machines, or industrial robots to machine metal work pieces to specifications on production basis.

Job Description:

  • Reads blueprint or job order for product specifications, such as, dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions, such as fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut, and determines sequence of operations
  • Performs accurate and timely 1st and last part inspections, as well as any other inspections required by the print/job sheet, the department lead and/or supervisor, the quality assurance manager, or a manager using measuring instruments such as, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges to measure workpiece for confirmation to specifications
  • Counts finished parts and packs them neatly for subsequent operation
  • Enters required data into computer
  • Reviews setup sheet and specifications to determine setup procedure, machining sequence, and dimensions of finished workpiece
  • May assume general labor responsibilities, other than machine operation, as assigned; and Practices good work habits including, but not limited to, being productive and efficient, staying busy by seeing work, being dependable, clean, and organized in work area

Job Requirements

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
