We have a direct hire position open for a CNC Lathe Programmer in Milpitas at a machine shop that specializes in precision components for the semiconductor, medical, automotive, and aerospace industries. 1^st shift positions are available! 

Our client is looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer to use MasterCam/CAD software to write programs for different types of vertical and horizontal lathes that make parts from plastic and metal. 

Be on our client’s payroll on Day 1 with this DIRECT HIRE opportunity! 

Pay and Schedule Information:

• 1st shift: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm; Monday-Friday with overtime on Saturdays when requested
• Pay rate: $35-$40/hour DOE

Job Duties of the CNC Lathe Programmer:

• Use CAD and CAM software to generate CNC programs for CNC metal/plastic working machines and machine tools
• Interpret engineering drawings/blueprints and program them into CAD/ MasterCam software
• Build basic machine parts, tools, and/or plastic injection molds 

If you have Machinist experience, please let us know for the following job duties:

• Setup parts onto the CNC Lathe and run it correctly per blueprint
• Set up & operate lathe machines to perform a sequence of operations
• Operations include: turn, drill, mill, and bore a variety of metal/plastic components
• Operate and run the CNC Lathe
• Read & understand blueprints, tolerances, specifications on the blueprints
• Acts as a Lead and may direct other machinists

Job Requirements

Job Requirements of the CNC Lathe Programmer:

• Have 5 years of experience in CNC Programming
• Have excellent geometric dimensioning and tolerancing skills
• Experience with MasterCAM and CAD software is required
• Machinist experience is preferred for setting up tooling/materials, running the machines/programs, measuring the parts with precision instruments, first article inspections, etc.
