Pay range: $18 - $23/hr.

Location: Greenwood, IN

Shift Options:

•  A shift: Sunday-Thursday 6:30a-2:30p
•  B Shift: Tuesday-Saturday 2:30p-10:30p
•  D shift: Sun/Mon 2:30p-10:30p, Tues/Wed 10:30p-6:30a, Thursday Off, Fri/Sat 6:30a-2:30p

Position Summary:

Blow Mold Technician is responsible for the set up of injection and blow molding molds, programming injection and blow molding machines. Ensures first article quality prior to releasing the machine to production and troubleshoots quality deviations on plastic parts produced (root cause analysis). The overall nature of the position requires constant physical exertion with physical effort frequently required. There is constant exposure to environmental noises and hazards, frequent exposure to cold and heat temperature changes.

Primary Functions:

• Responsible for meeting and maintaining quality standards set by Q.A. Dept.
• Sets up machines with standard cycle time for production. 
• Responsible for required adjustments needed to fulfill the product specification requirements such as weight, color distribution, and cycle times.
• Setup molds as required by production schedule.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and report any unsafe working conditions.
• Check and maintain quality of the product being produced by identifying acceptable and non-acceptable product.
• Work independently from verbal and/or written instructions from the Shift Supervisor.
• Answer machine alarms as they occur and address the root cause.
• Communicate with off-going/on-coming technicians.
• Documenting ending cycle process parameter and any tool issues as appropriate.
• The ability to monitor the process and show an awareness of issues and demonstrate corrective actions to address those issues.

Job Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must have at least 3 or more years of experience in a technical, hands-on position, including Injection Blow Molding, Extrusion Blow Molding.
• Knowledge of plastic processing and trouble shooting.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be mechanically inclined and have the ability to use basic hand tools.
• Possess good hand-eye coordination with manual dexterity.
• Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Must possess own tools required on the technician tool list
• The frequent physical demands of the position are standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, eye/hand/foot coordination and safely push and pull items.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds from floor to overhead, independently, frequently to constantly.
