Soldering Operator

1st Shift: Monday-Friday 7 am-4 pm

Pay: $14-17 *Depending on Experience

Description: Prepares and solders electronic components onto Printed Circuit Boards (PCB’s) according to specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Perform moderately complex SMT and thru hole hand component soldering to IPC standards.
  • Lead forming of different types of electronic parts using hand tools and automatic equipment for PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assembly.
  • Work with leaded and lead- free solder.
  • Interpret resistor color codes and capacitors values.
  • Proficient understanding of PCB assembly drawings and related documents; ECN’s, assembly instructions.
  • Utilize electrical and manual tools such as soldering iron, de-soldering equipment, and solder removal tools.
  • Has a proficient understanding of PCB assembly processes, component installation sequence of thru hole components.
  • Maintains department specific records.
  • Works with minimal supervision from the Production Department Supervisor.
  • Is consistently at work and on time. Must adhere to company specified work schedule.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One-three years of related experience.
  • Must hold current J-STD-001 Certification
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills.
  • Perform basic computer tasks.
  • This position requires frequent sitting, standing, use hands, lifting up to 25 pounds throughout shift.
