ResourceMFG has an opening for an Fastening Quality Engineer for one of it's Automotive Suppliers!

This position is a direct hire opportunity in Von Ormy, TX which means that, if you are hired, you are hired directly through the company!

Fastening Quality Engineers are responsible for supporting the operations and quality departments of our business model.  In addition, the Fastening Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting the implementation of engineering initiatives and programs.

Duties consist of but are not limited to the following:

• Represent company and liaison with the customer
• Take responsibility in customer processes
• Central point of contact for customers in daily engineering operations
• Coordinate and Support: Fastener-related issues and assist customers in solving joint problems. Escalation to Fastener engineering – Engineering Services when issues cannot be solved
• On-site support if required by customer (periodical or resident)
• Represent engineering projects and programs
• Train new engineering team members
• Pick up engineering role in operations and assembly/kitting
• Participate in the change management process (APQP, deviations)
• Share responsibility in keeping the FMS updated through the defined processes
• Support the internal audit process and manage assigned actions
• Represent engineering and support implementing the quality processes at the start-up of a new branch
• Support the implementation of the operational plan and support the measuring and reporting of status
• Additional duties as assigned.

Rate of Pay/Salary: $80,000 per year depending on experience

Schedule: Monday through Friday 7AM to 330PM (with flexibility to work earlier or later if need be)

Working Location: Von Ormy, TX
