ResourceMFG has a great opportunity for a Document Control within a electronics company in Chatsworth, CA.

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 DOE

Hours: 8am - 5pm

Monday to Friday

 

General Description:

The Document Control  Specialist initiates, distributes, tracks, and reviews the work order documentation for Pre-weigh and Compounding. Creates and Maintains daily compounding and pre-weigh schedules in coordination with planning department. Communicates activities to Planning and other departments under the direction and in the absence of the Compounding Supervisor. Coordinates the flow of information within Pre-weigh and Compounding, as well as with other departments in the company. Maintains and updates training files for all employees

Specific Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Promotes a safe working environment and adheres to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures, company safety rules, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) in line with the company’s objectives and policies at all times.
  • Documents Control Batch Record/Release
  • Gathers and collect information as needed from other departments.
  • Manages logs and computer systems used to collect and document manufacturing operations
  • Coordinates schedules and associated documents with Planning requirements.
  • Preparation of batch records/ picklists for use in manufacturing. Coordinates the review and approval of records to be available for use as scheduled. Responds to changing scheduling needs.
  • Documentation of material and labor usage on the computer.
  • Work Order Reconciliation, to include, reviewing all batch records for errors and omissions. Follows up on corrective measures and ultimately closes completed work orders in the MRP system.
  • Maintains inventory accuracy with Unplanned Issues of items of materials for special needs.
  • Analyzes and resolves discrepancies using various information systems and working with manufacturing personnel and other departments.
  • Prepares employee training documentation. Tracks employee training and enters data into M-Files
  • Performs additional duties as instructed by  Management.

Physical Requirements

  • Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Capable of standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Colleges degree preferred
  • Must have a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in Cosmetic/OTC Document Control preferably in cosmetic process manufacturing or an FDA regulated industry.
  • Full knowledge of working with and troubleshooting Document Control procedures.
  • Good time-management skills
  • Good English communications skills: speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Advanced PC Knowledge i.e. MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and MRP systems is required.
  • Strong skills in mathematics; adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and percentages
  • Flexibility to work long hours during peak season or special schedules as needed to satisfying job requirements.
  • Must be able to maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work area. Maintains housekeeping in conformance with, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
