PAY: $25/hour
JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Inspection Planner/CMM Programmer position is responsible for creating inspection plans, including CMM programs used by operators and inspectors to inspect product to engineering requirements. Inspection plans include prototype, first article inspection, first piece inspection, in-process inspection, or process monitoring, sample, or final inspection, and receiving inspection. Inspection plans consist of bubbled engineering, inspection check sheets, determining sample size, CMM programs, and inspection instructions.
Perform review of internally created models/drawings to customer supplied engineering, review and approve FAI to AS9102, manage the CMM/Inspection plan problem log, perform model translation validation, review manufacturing planning, review and understand new part requirements, and assist with MRB team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Mid to high-level math skills efficiently and accurately (including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fraction, and decimals).
Knowledge and use of using measuring tools such as CMM, calipers, micrometers, and other inspection gauges.
Ability to identify, organize, estimate, and recognize differences or similarities with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to communicate information clearly and directly to co-workers, supervisory personnel, customers, and suppliers both verbally and in writing.
Ability to adapt to change (positive or negative).
Ability to program a Zeiss CMM using Calypso.
Ability to accept criticism and deal calmly and effectively with stressful situations.
Ability to utilize interpersonal and communication techniques, working in a team environment, and dealing with a wide variety of personalities and communication styles.
Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.
Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships.

Ability to interpret technical documents, models, and drawings.

Ability to use or learn to use High QA Inspection Manager to create inspection plans
Ability to review suspect items to available criteria and decide if the items are acceptable or rejectable.
