SCOPE & BASIC FUNCTION: 

Manufacturing Technician II’s are an integral part of the production team. Their success is determined by the positive way in which they communicate, cooperate, interact and contribute towards achieving goals and objectives.

Manufacturing Technician II’s are responsible for and capable of setting up tooling and equipment and optimizing equipment uptime anywhere in the plant. They are capable of responding rapidly to situations to meet production plans and service the requirements of our customers, not only in their primary area, but plant wide.

Manufacturing Technician II’s are responsible for quality, throughput and safety.  They participate both as team members and team leaders in solving problems and implementing solutions to increase manufacturing productivity.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/OTHER SKILLS:

• HSD / GED required.
• Additional training/education, up to and including a 2 year associates degree in a technical discipline.
• An understanding of intermediate math skills including geometry and trigonometry.
• Proficient with various measurement tools.
• Proficient with a variety of machining tools.
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Has attained additional skills/proficiency in areas such as:
• Welding/Fabrication
• Hydraulics
• Pneumatics
• Electrical/Electronics
• PLC programming
• Set-up/troubleshooting, repair and maintenance experience in a machine based manufacturing environment.
