ResourceMFG is seeking Maintenance Technicians to join a food production plant in Kent, Wa. 

As a Maintenance Technician, associates will repair and maintain, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, manuals and manufacturer’s specifications, machinery and production equipment, conveyor systems, using hand tools, power tools, and measuring and testing instruments.  The systems being maintained include electrical, mechanical, HVAC, PLC, pneumatic, structural and refrigeration.

1st shift: Monday - Friday| 5:00am-2:30pm| $28.50/hourly| Temp-to-hire Opportunity!

2nd Shift: Monday – Friday| 1:30pm-10:00pm| $28.50/hourly | Temp-to-hire Opportunity!

3rd shift: Monday – Friday| 9:30pm-6:00am| $28.50/hourly | Temp-to-hire Opportunity!

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains and repairs all aspects of production line equipment including cookers, wrappers, conveyors, etc.
  • Must be able to work all craft specialties, including electrical, welding, mechanical, refrigeration, pneumatic and structural.
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts on equipment. Dismantles machinery to access part(s) needing repair replaces/repairs defective parts and reassembles machinery. Lubricates and cleans working mechanisms on production equipment.
  • Responds to urgent needs to keep the production lines running continually.
  • Performs plant inspections on fire systems, storage freezers, refrigeration system, etc., and records information into daily summaries.
  • Performs preventative maintenance work on equipment and ensures timely completion of work orders.
  • Must be flexible to work varying hours and shifts, including overtime and weekends, to accommodate the production deadlines.
  • Must maintain timely and regular attendance.
  • Responsible to report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
  • Other maintenance duties as assigned.

  • Must maintain a good working relationship with all other departments and other maintenance shifts.
  • Takes initiative to continually improve performance and work process through feedback, risk taking, problem solving and generating new ideas.
  • Able to work in temperatures ranging from 125°F to +/- 20°, averaging 85°F.
  • Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
  • Demonstrates high motivation and energy in working with a sense of urgency in critical situations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills within all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to successfully manage and execute multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Must follow all GMPs
  • Minimum of seven (7) years previous experience in electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and ammonia refrigeration, preferably in a food manufacturing environment. 
  • Refrigeration operator’s license preferred.
  • Highschool diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant trade or technical school training preferred.
