ResourceMFG is seeking an Experienced Firearm Test Technician for a Large Manufacturing Company in Louisville.

Pay is $20-23/Hour depending on Experience 

Demonstrable shooting/handling experience with various firearms platforms is required

Firearms Experience is a required with a proven safety record.

The Product Test Technician I position is responsible for carrying out live fire and laboratory tests to validate the product capability of new and existing products for multiple weapon systems. Test activities will include the validation and verification of hardware and mechanical systems prior to production release, as well as, in-process testing conducted in accordance with company protocols

• Perform testing on both new product features, as well as, regression tests for existing product capability in both controlled and open format conditions.
• Responsible for basic weapon knowledge including part identification (which parts belong to which weapon systems), safety, and ammunition identification including general projectile types.
• Ability to work in harsh outdoor conditions (extreme temperatures, strong winds, dust, snow, etc.) for up to 9 hours at a time.
• Ability to walk, stand, sit, squat and/or lay prone for extended periods of time.  Ability to run in short bursts.
• Ability to shoot various auto, semi-auto, and manual action firearms for up to 1,800 rounds (minimum 800 rounds) in a given four-hour period once per day.  Must be able to meet accuracy and technique proficiency minimums.
• Travel up to 80%, the vast majority of which will be travel to and from the live fire range.
• Complete and document assigned tasks in a timely fashion. Immediately report schedule delays to Senior Test Technician and Engineering Test Supervisor.
• Utilize test processes and fixtures in accordance with written and verbal direction
• Prepare test results to effectively communicate test status to Engineering Test Supervisor.
• Assist with Lab construction, upkeep, cleaning, and maintenance.
• Assist with various weapon cleaning, maintenance, and repair.
• Adhere to all corporate policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Firearms Test Technician Job Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License 
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience directly related to System Testing, Quality Assurance, or direct experience with products in an Assembly, QC or Product Support environment required
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds over your head on a consistent basis.
