Description

A Production Supervisor is needed with our client located in Byron Center, MI. This is a Direct Hire 2nd/3rd shift opportunity starting around $70K a year. This role does require a candidate that has the availability to accommodate 2nd and 3rd shift hours.

Duties of a Production Supervisor includes:

• Maintain appropriate number of personnel in all production areas.
• Ensure that everyone has the supplies and equipment to perform their assigned job(s).
• Ordering of raw production materials such as pallets, stretch film and other assorted packaging supplies
• Facilitate problem solving at the production team level.
• Set goals, coach, and hold team members accountable to agreed-upon goals.
• Monitor attendance and tardiness and address when necessary. • Perform timely performance reviews as necessary.
• Communicate all necessary information with other shifts, and departments as necessary.
• Complete and verify accuracy of all paperwork by assigned deadlines.
• Enforce all safety regulations • Maintain housekeeping in production areas.
• Monitor efficiency of production workers and communicate with employee and department manager

Job Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills in order to motivate and maintain a team mentality.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proven record of initiative.
• Excellent decision making and problem-sol skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus.
• 5 years’ experience in a production environment.
• Able to prioritize tasks and delegate.
• Physical and mental stamina required to handle multiple high-priority tasks, to lead by positive example, and to move rapidly when needed.
• Ability to work Saturdays as needed or cover for other shifts
