Position Responsibilities

To provide constant and consistent quality control presence in the production areas. Operates under the supervision of the Quality Assurance Manager.

Description:

  • Perform daily operational line checks using scale, calipers and thermometers.
  • Monitor quality attributes of manufactured items according to customer specifications.
  • Perform daily operational line checks using scale, thermometers and any other tools as necessary.
  • Monitor Good Manufacturing Practices in production.
  • Maintain finished product quality testing.
  • Manage all process controls for quality and food safety.
  • Provide technical support to fellow members of the company as needed
  • Anything else deemed necessary by senior management in this area of operations.
  • In the absence of the QC Technician, the QA Coordinator or QA/QC Manager will be responsible to fulfill job duties in their absence.

Job Requirements

Work Experience Requirements for This Role

  • Experience in a food service, processing, or distribution environment preferred
  • Experience with Food safety, GMP’s, quality troubleshooting and QA process improving skills preferred
  • HACCP plan knowledgeable is preferred, formal HACCP training/certification helpful.

  • Strong math and computer aptitude.
  • Able to stand, walk, stoop, and bent during the shift.
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.
  • Abilities: Work well in a fast paced, ever changing and sometimes intense atmosphere.
