Remedy is looking for a  at a Counterbalance, Cherry Order Picker, Forklift Operator on 1st shift at a Pen and supply company in South Jacksonville off Beach BlVD!

Pay: $16.50 Temp to Perm after 90* days 

Shift: 1st 7:30am-3:30pm or 2nd 3:30pm – 11:30pm Monday-Friday

Paid Meal/Break times Optional Over time on weekends

Job Requirements

position summary:

Receive and store all foreign and domestic product by operating all equipment in a safe and consistent manner adhering to rules and guidelines established by OSHA and the company.

essential job functions & responsibilities:

  • Offload all foreign and domestic containers and trucks into the staging area as they arrive.  Verify invoices of all received shipments. Notify the Distribution Manager or Receiving Manager of any discrepancies.  Contact QA for inspection of external (Southern) shipments. 
  • Generate tickets, place on pallets, and move ticketed material to their designated areas within the warehouse (staging area, storage racks and replenishment racks) as needed.  Maintain accurate records utilizing the Inventory Control Ticket system.
  • Drive the yard truck between the Manufacturing and Distribution buildings to facilitate and prioritize the movement of product.  Move empty trailers from the bay doors in both buildings
  • Enter inventory adjustments when damaged goods are received.
  • Stage material and separate all mixed items into separate pallets, when necessary.
  • Assure orders and shipment quantities match Picker documents.
  • Perform pallet picks for order completion.
  • Assist in Pallet Replenishments, as needed.
  • Relocate “soon to expire” product to designated locations as per QA directions.
  • Run daily Production, Receiving, and In-Transit Reports.
  • Assist in the training of personnel as needed.
  • Coordinate material transfers between Manufacturing and Distribution, via safe operation in driving tractor trailer on company property.
  • Process daily incoming and outgoing mail according to guidelines and procedures. 
  • Support year-end inventory audit.
  • Keep equipment and work area organized and clean.
  • Sustain 5S lean guidelines and procedures.  Recommend Lean process changes and improvements.
  • Back-up for Material Handler 1 Receiving, as needed.
  • Work extended shifts and/or weekends as required.

 

skills required:

Speak and comprehend direction and feedback as articulated in English.  Good math and computer skills.  Attention to detail and thorough in completing work tasks.  Ability to adapt to change in work priorities.  Good analytical skills required.  Use of scan gun device.  Able to operate vehicles and material-moving equipment such as, but not limited to Counterbalance, Cherry Order Picker and Turret Truck.
