Menifee Facility Seeking Temporary Senior Accountant

This position is responsible for performing senior level accounting functions, which provide management with accurate data and analysis of the financial condition of supported entities from which to evaluate and measure against objectives.  Provides specialized or generalized analytical support in various accounting functions, as assigned. 

Base Salary 80,000/yearly

Schedule: Monday – Friday from 7:00am – 3:30pm

or 7:00am-4:00pm (with an hour lunch)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for carrying out assignments in general accounting, cost accounting, or financial accounting functions of a complex nature by applying principles of accounting.  Applies experience in level of expertise to maintain accounting records, systems or logs to account for company funds to provide for a balanced accounting function.
• Prepares miscellaneous reports, balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other similarly complex reports to provide Accounting management with appropriate financial data.
• Prepares and analyzes monthly and quarterly financial packages, including domestic and foreign operations to provide data for management to determine financial condition of the company.
• Works on special projects for senior management to provide a detailed analysis of a certain condition or to recommend a course of action concerning a plan or plans.
• Operates computer systems and prepares minor programs to compile data or to run a financial system.
• Reviews data prepared by Accounting personnel and determines data accuracy.
• Compiles data from various sources into one consolidated report to bring data together for management reporting.
• Applies principles of accounting, standard accounting procedures, and Datatronics financial procedures to solve senior level accounting problems and to perform accounting workload.
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Education: Completion of 24 unit toward business administration certificate with a combination of required and applicable electives only

Experience: Requires 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience and the ability to adapt to a variety of tasks. Should have experience in at least two of the major areas of accounting

Other Required Skills:

• Ability to multi-task and function under pressure
• Required to be accurate in preparing documents. proficient in excel and word.
• Requires ability to work with confidential data and to meet required deadlines
• Communicates well with all levels of employees
