Job Requirements

• Minimum 12 months relevant Machine Operator experience
• Able to use basic hand and power tools
• Basic math
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Ability to identify problems
• Able to multi-task
• Attention to detail
• Able to read ruler/tape measure
• Basic computer skills

Pay Rate 16.25

Shift: 1st and 2nd  

Days: Monday-Friday

• Duties will include operating or assisting in the operation of manufacturing machinery, material handling equipment and general plant operations. • Palletize cartwheels on the flat or on the round; he or she will be required to regularly stage and/or move empty pallets by hand or by using a pallet jack/forklift • The job regularly requires the use of upenders to load and unload cartwheels from pallets, and it sometimes requires repetitive hand-stacking of cartwheels up to 50lbs that are palletized on the flat. • This position requires the technicians to accurately read, understand and follow written directions on job sheets to palletize correctly, apply the correct separators between cartwheels, use the correct tubes, and other directions as applicable. • When time permits, the technician will assist in removing sets from slitters using a hoist, shafting up cores and spacers for the rewind shafts, assisting the machine operator in the loading and unloading of master rolls, making splices, and inspecting cartwheel samples for defects. • Operation of equipment such as the pneumatic lifting equipment, chop saw, pneumatic nail guns, forklift, lifting equipment and upenders are a must as well as simple tools such as a hammer, utility knife, crowbar and roll busters. • Secondary responsibilities include assisting other techs as needed, cutting and stocking supplies, taping/numbering cartwheels off the slitter, assisting in palletizing cartwheels and other assigned duties. • We are currently on an 8-hour day, 40-hour work week. Employees will be required to work overtime some weekdays and Saturdays, based on production demands.
