Description

A cabinet manufacturer located in Irwindale is in need of a Maintenance Technician.

This is a performance to hire position!

Seeking someone with a flexible schedule and ability to start as early at 3:00PM and work 8-12 hours a day.

Maintenance tech 1:

  • Performs entry-level Planned maintenance as directed.
  • Inspects equipment and facilities for needed repairs.
  • Provides additional leadership assistance to the Maintenance lead as required.
  • Fill in as a maintenance lead as required by directing the work team, making task assignments and completing daily reports
  • Carefully read manuals of equipment and interpret them to understand how to operate and maintain production machinery properly.
  • A basic understanding of physical phenomena and their analysis and manipulation.
  • Work with mathematical concepts such as and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry.
  • Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
  • Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Provides support and back up for members of the department as needed by leadership.
  • Completes technical self-study programs for career development.
  • Performs more advanced functions as a part of training and development
  • Install motors, motor controls, indicating devices, sprockets, chains and belts.
  • Determine and implement maintenance schedules and routines for newly acquired and installed machinery

 

Job Requirements

  • Associates degree, or a High School diploma and 4+ years technical experience in a production environment.
  • To be certified electrician.
  • Proficiency to read/follow equipment schematic.
  • Solid knowledge of PLC and Ladder Logics and.
  • Basic knowledge of Automation.
  • Ability to design simple electrical circuits.
  • Excellent problem solving with minimal supervision.
  • Time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project Management and Power Point)
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
