Description

The QA Inspector is responsible for performing patrol inspections of finished, in-process rubber/epoxy molded products during all phases of manufacturing. Perform visual inspection on rubber/epoxy molded products to assure conformance to drawing specifications. May use fixed or precision measuring instruments. Assist in performing internal audits to the Quality system.

Job Functions:  

  • Performs inspection audits on rubber/epoxy molded product for conformance to drawing specification.
  • Performs incoming inspection on component parts as required.
  • Assists in the collection of data as needed for performing process capability studies and analysis of nonconformance etc.
  • Reads blueprints and other specifications to obtain product information.
  • Assures control of nonconforming product/material to establish procedures.
  • Works closely between inspection and production for proper coordination of efforts towards Quality.
  • Understands and follows plant safety procedures

Job Requirements

Expectations/Essential Functions:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years’ experience in Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong math skills
  • Sufficient computer knowledge including Microsoft, Excel and email
  • Good English verbal and written communication skills
  • Good Hand/Eye dexterity
  • Must be able to work an 8 hour graveyard shift
  • Preferred Skills: reading of Blueprints, previous X-ray inspection experience, Use of Calipers, and use of Go-No Gage.
  • Must be able to:
    • Bend, twist, & turn in a safe manner
    • Lift up to 40lbs
    • Stand for long periods of time
