Job Requirements

  • Minimum 12 months relevant MIG welding experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to use basic hand and power tools
  • Basic Math
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Able to read blueprints/drawings
  • Hand eye coordination and dexterity
  • Basic metallurgy knowledge

Job Responsibilities

  • Experience on forklift and powered industrial equipment, a plus
  • Apprenticeship, vocational training, and/or certification, a plus
  • Robotic welding experience, a plus
  • Electric arc and inert gas experience
  • Follow standard work instructions as assigned
  • Follow safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE (personal protective equipment)
  • Perform hands-on tasks
  • Machine set up
  • Measuring, cutting, and assembling metal products
  • Grinding and polishing finished products
  • Work in a team environment
  • Troubleshoot issues
  • Meet production standards
  • Lift up to 50lbs, stand, bend, and reach
  • Maintain clean and organized workspace
  • Accurate recordkeeping and inventory documentation
  • Testing and inspection of product

Job Requirements

Set up equipment and weld parts, using mig welder. Set up and operate a cutting torch. Knowledge of fabrication operation procedures, and basic mechanics of fabrication machinery and equipment. Set up, operate and perform minor maintenance on shear. Set up, operate and perform minor maintenance on brake press. Other duties as assigned. *Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to read a tape measure and blue prints. *While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. *While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. PPE is more than normal depts. Safe practice's are a must!
