Assembly Technician

$16/hr DOE

Monday - Thursday 6:30 am - 5 pm

Our client is a top manufacturer in Northern Colorado providing an opportunity to join a family oriented business with state of the art machinery and Fortune 500 customers. This role will be vital to the company's integrity by building approved products that are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards and within acceptable times. You will also work with the Assembly Manager and assembly lead technician to promote and sustain a positive work environment of continuous improvement, growth, and profitability.

  • Adhering to the codes of the company’s Quality Management System.
  • Follow prescribed workplace rules and standard safety regulations at all times
  • Utilize production work orders and associated documents to complete work per all engineering requirements as defined, prints and work instructions to ensure part(s) meet all customer quality requirements per the company’s AS9100 Quality System.
  • Study, read and understand blueprints, process documents and gather information regarding its parts, fixtures, tools, etc
  • Acquire tooling needed from Tool Crib and tool systems as needed (drill bits and countersink tools, etc.)
  • Learn and use micrometers, calipers and other measuring devises to perform regular test and inspection procedures to ensure parts meet specifications per required work orders
  • Set up Assembly equipment and tooling to ensure correct sub assembly and final assembly product as per specifications and instructions from direct report
  • Clean equipment and work area and maintain in an orderly condition on a daily basis
  • Detect and report defective equipment, materials, and/or faulty operations to direct report
  • Develop constructive and cooperative relationships with others and maintain them over time
  • Identify the need for the creation of work instructions and setup information for new work coming to the area
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, increased efficiency and maintain quality of product

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1-3 years’ experience in Assembly, or related field.
  • Good hand and eye coordination and can demonstrate excellent manual dexterity for precision alignment
  • Good patience and the ability to continually work on the same types of parts for extended periods of time
  • Ability to track fine details visually and discover defects in products


  • 3+ years of experience in Assembly
  • Ability to read and comprehend blue prints and the ability to learn and master new assembly skills along with strong communication skills
