Job Requirements

  • Minimum 12 months relevant welding experience
  • Basic metallurgy knowledge
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic Math
  • Able to read blueprints/drawings
  • Able to use basic hand and power tools
  • Hand eye coordination and dexterity
  • Attention to detail

Job Responsibilities

  • Electric arc experience
  • Experience on forklift and powered industrial equipment, a plus
  • Apprenticeship, vocational training, and/or certification, a plus
  • Follow standard work instructions as assigned
    Machine set up
  • Measuring, cutting, and assembling metal products
    Grinding and polishing finished products
  • Follow safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE (personal protective equipment)
  • Perform hands-on tasks
  • Lift up to 50lbs, stand, bend, and reach
  • Maintain clean and organized workspace
  • Troubleshoot
  • Meet production standards
  • Work in a team environment
  • Record-keeping and inventory documentation
  • Testing and inspection of product

Job Requirements


Shift: 5pm-3:30am, depending on the workload, overtime will be required

Pay: $19.00/hour - $25.00/hour (depending upon experience)

Job Description:

  • Weld metal parts together to fabricate our product by performing the following duties.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading for layout.
  • Must be able to correctly fit and weld fabricated and forged components to assemble Header components with Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Gas Metal Arc Welding, and/or Gas Tungsten Arc Welding Process as required.
  • Position, align, and fit components together and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding using correct welding process and procedure.
  • Set up welding equipment for the type of material being used.
  • Hammer wedges and drift pins.
  • Grind rough edges, surplus weld, or scale, using portable grinder.
  • Position and turn clamps, and bolts using hand or wrenches.
  • Position work pieces manually or by using overhead or jib cranes.
  • Straighten warped or bent parts with a straightening press.
  • Proficient with a cutting torch and/or plasma cutter.
  • Must be proficient in reading and the proper execution for measuring devices such as tape measures, squares, levels.
  • Maintains production record of parts and jobs fabricated as required by the Department Manager.
  • Must pass American Society of Mechanical Engineering welding test.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs with or without accommodations.

Weld Tests:

1). Testing requirements for Hand welders only is a GTAW Root and Hot Pass with SMAW Fill and Cap on plate in the 2G Position (Horizontal).

2). Structure Fitter Welders: Must pass American Welding Society 2g Plate Test and Canadian Welding Bureau.  Two years of experience preferred.
