ResourceMFG is Now Hiring a Mold Technician!

The Mold Tooling Technician is responsible for performing mold repairs, cavity and core fabrication, build fixtures and replace mold inserts. The Technician will assess condition of molds and recommend major repairs and refurbishments. Performs diagnostics and solutions for mold and hot runner failures.

Schedule: Thursday - Wednesday 12pm - 6pm.; Saturday 6am - 6pm

Pay: $25 per hour Position


  • Perform shift handoff to understand priorities
  • Execute actions from the Maintenance Corrective and Preventive Action Plan that are assigned
  • Share knowledge and experience for diagnostics and solutions for mold and hot runner failures with peers
  • Perform minor and major mold repairs, cavity and core fabrication, build fixtures and replace mold inserts
  • Fabricate mold parts in conventional machine shop equipment and CNC
  • Develop a complete assessment of molds and recommend major repairs and refurbishments
  • Interpret mold engineering drawings to fabricate spare and replacement parts
  • Drive continuous improvement to perfect the molding operations and suggest changes to the specifications to improve performance
  • Responsible for the on-time completion of work orders
  • Diagnose and repair machine and auxiliary equipment failures
  • Support any activities required by the supervisor for business needs
  • Responsible for completing and emailing the daily report of completed activities and pending jobs
  • Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures to prevent accidents, illness, and environmental hazards
  • Escalate unsafe acts or conditions observed in the work area
  • Maintain a safe work area, complying with all company rules and policies
  • Maintain a current training record for any and all assigned courses, seminars, and certifications
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area consistent with 5-S standards · Maintain and contribute to improvements to production and maintenance standards

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 5 years repairing molds and performing fabrication
  • Experienced using conventional machine shop equipment, CNC, Mill, EDM, and TIG Welder
  • Experience with Solidworks, MasterCam (desired)
  • Held positions as a technician in a molding operation
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Experienced working and contributing in a team environment
  • Flexibility with shift assignment
  • Experienced with measurement equipment
  • Experienced handling hazardous material
  • Education:
  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)


  • repairing molds: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Fabrication: 5 years (Preferred)
