ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for the inventory of materials, purchasing, procurement, planning, sourcing and pricing of materials. In addition, this position includes preparing and arranging materials and products in bulk and non-bulk forms for distribution or storage, material handling, shipping and receiving in order to meet company objectives and customer’s requirements.

• Supervises and oversees the inventory and stockroom controls in the day-to-day task(s) required to meet production schedules and builds.

• Provides accurate information on purchasing requirements, analyzing and providing input on long range planning requirements, and statues of Purchase Orders to management.

• Maintains accurate record of goods received and shipped; manifests, DD1149s and bills of landing. As required, may provide support on import and export compliance and shipping. Fills orders or issues supplies from stock, prepares periodic or perpetual inventory of stock and requisitions articles to fill incoming orders Shipping and Receiving

Employees for this position must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 2-3 years of previous experience preferred. High school diploma or GED required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; lift up to 40 lbs ; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
