Description

A client of ours in the Battle Creek, MI area is looking for an Aftermarket Technical Support Worker for their Metal Finishing manufacturing facility. This opportunity will be on 1st shift with a starting wage of $28.00 per hour for this direct hire opportunity. This role will require 60 - 80 % travel nationwide (Mexico and Canada).

Duties of an Aftermarket Technical Support: 

  •  Responsible for providing in-house and on-site advanced technical support and consultation to internal and external customers.
  • Delivers comprehensive technical expertise to troubleshoot
    equipment in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
  • Advise and provide the best technical solutions to solve
    customer issues.
  • Supports Service by providing detailed documentation of customer equipment servicing.
  • Coordinates and provides technical support to customers.
  • Ensures consistent, efficient and safe operation of machinery and mechanical equipment and production machines by following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions and engineering specifications, troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Drives and coordinates continuous improvement activities based on audit, customer, and employee feedback.
  • Builds relationships with other departments (local and global). Ensures open and honest communication.
  • Plans and executes complex technical and electrical field
    assignments, on-site or field based, involving the processes, installation, modification, testing, inspection, or repair of
    equipment.

 

 

Job Requirements

  • Associate's Degree - Has an associate's degree or equivalent in related field
  • 4 - 8 years' experience - Minimum of 4-8 years' of previous experience working in related field
  • Has had some sort of past experience and knowledge in
    building small engines, automotive maintenance, or agricultural maintenance.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical maintenance processes, practices, tools, and equipment.
  • Working Knowledge of general office software, e.g. MS Office
    Suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel), Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
