Experience Center Group Leaders will advance the mission of Toyota’s Experience Center and manufacturing facility by managing the day-to-day operations of the Experience Center and supervising a team of Tour Guides.

Successful candidates will be enthusiastic, cheerful, innovative, willing to learn, have an interest in working with people -especially students- and be willing to become actively involved in the programs of the Experience Center. Experience in project management, customer service or hospitality preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of experience center and tour staff
  • Coordinate contractor services
  • Manage staff schedules, job duties, supply ordering, customer satisfaction and personnel issues.
  • Train all staff on multiple jobs, including front desk operations and driving a tour tram
  • Support KPI development and reporting for executive review.
  • Manage non-standard tour requests and events.
  • Direct large projects and operational or space improvements. 
  • Serve as a brand ambassador and engage with manufacturing enthusiasts.
  • Guest reservation system management, welcome and check-in.
  • Interface with guests of all ages from around the world, including Q/A.
  • Serve as a back-up for all staff.
  • Other duties as assigned by Corporate Communications Manager

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED; some college preferred or related work experience.
  • Team leader, lead worker, or supervisory experience.
  • Ability to speak in front of groups of people.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
  • Great interpersonal skills with excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, PPT, and Excel.
  • Self-starter and an independent worker who is team oriented and results driven.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance to support team and business objectives.
  • Ability to work flexible work hours, which may include weekends.
  • Ability to work with all levels within the organization.
  • Interface with VIP guests

Details

  • $27/hr
  • 8:00am-4:30pm with flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
