Description

Remedy is looking for a Electrical Controls Engineer at a water pump manufacturing company in South Jacksonville!

 

Pay: $40K per year (possibly more with the right candidate)

Shift: Monday - Friday 

 

Summary

The Electrical Controls Engineer will use AutoCAD to create the necessary drawings, Control Schematics, and wiring diagrams in a manner consistent with company standards to create the control systems design for Water/Wastewater Industry.

Job Requirements

  • Design electrical low voltage and medium voltage electrical distribution system for water and wastewater facilities. The design includes preparing design drawings (single line diagrams, plans, wiring schematics, schedules, etc.)
  • Perform electrical system studies and calculations (load, voltage drop, lighting, short circuit, coordination, arc flash, etc.)
  • Perform electrical systems design using motor control centers, variable frequency drives, generators, transformers, distribution panels, and other electrical distribution systems.
  • Ability to do electrical design work in ACAD
  • Develop electrical equipment specifications
  • Perform field inspections of electrical systems and attend system startup field activities
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to handle design and support of multiple projects at the same time
  • Perform other related duties as required
  • [0-1] years of work experience in controls, electrical, or drafting
  • Knowledge of accounting procedures involving procurement, travel, and budget management
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD software systems, as well as Microsoft office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Able to maintain filing systems, databases, and basic note taking
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Meticulous records maintenance skills
  • Good telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team
  • Strong customer service orientation
