Now Hiring a Heavy Equipment Repair Mechanic for a Manufacturing Facility in Peachtree City, GA. 

1st shift / Mon-Fri / 8am-5pm 

Starting at $18+ BASED ON EXPERIENCE

The purpose of this position is to safely assemble a quality product according to company policies/procedures on a timely basis.

  • Assemble heavy machine products according to Engineering/Manufacturing prints and documentation utilizing assembly/mechanical tools, torque tools, metric units, hydraulics and electrical components within allotted process time.
  • Take initiative to identify, document, communicate and correct problems related to assembly, report discrepancies and recommend solutions Support team People, Quality, Velocity and Cost
  • Work and interact effectively in a team environment in alignment with our Code of Conduct and Values in Action.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Able to disassemble, clean, and inspect various excavator components.
  • Visually inspect entire components for all indications of potential failure points
  • Demonstrate proper use of available diagnostic equipment and special tools such as power drills, impact guns, and grinding tools.
  • Has some knowledge of basic mechanics such as changing oil, filters, and batteries
  • Basic knowledge of tools such as wrenches, screw drivers and etc.
  • Participate in additional routine duties involving general housekeeping, non-standard service activities and any other service needs.
  • Remove and installation of components by following the appropriate service manual.
  • Promote daily 5S activities to ensure a safe, clean and streamlined department.
  • Able troubleshoot basic issues with machines in relation to hydraulic, engine, and wiring issues.
  • Coordinate the cross training of associates on the team to increase versatility amongst the group.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Heavy assembly experience
  • Hydraulic systems experience
  • Heavy crane equipment experience
  • Ability to read standard work, prints, and write continuous improvement cards.
  • Experience using mechanical tools including torque tools.
