The associate will be building wood crates for shipping finished product. They will be cutting wood and putting together with a staple gun. Qualified candidates must know how to read a tape measure and have experience with hand tools. Background in construction/framing is a plus! Essential Functions • Pack Components to accepted standards utilizing various tools. • Pre-cut lumber to designated lengths. • Assemble crates to fit product being shipped. • Move product from finishing to staging area for crating • Perform final inspection quality checks. • Stage crated items for easy retrieval from shipping personnel. • Safely operate tools and hand trucks and follow all safety policies. • Perform 5S housekeeping tasks. • Perform lumber replenishment from outside to the designated area in crating. • Notify supervisor when something out of the ordinary is happening or when supplies are low. • Scan routers into business software. • Perform additional duties as deemed appropriate by the supervisor of this position.
