SMT Operator

2nd Shift: Mon-Fri 3 pm-12:00 am

Pay: $14-17 depending on experience

ResourceMFG is hiring for an SMT Operator for local electronics company. This position is a contact to hire opportunity. Responsible for both automated and manual surface mount manufacturing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Reads moderately complex work orders, follows moderately complex production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
  • Must be able to identify electronic components.
  • Responsible for set-up, operation, and adjustment of SMT equipment.
  • Monitors and maintains equipment to meet company standards.
  • Performs reflow profiling.
  • May be responsible for occasional minor SMT repairs.
  • Maintains department specific records.
  • Works with minimal supervision from the SMT Supervisor.
  • Is consistently at work and on time. Must adhere to company specified work schedule.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to three years related experience and/or training in the electronics field.
  • Good knowledge of components, machines, and machine operations in an assembly environment.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit.
  • The employee is frequently is required to walk and stand.
  • The employee frequently is required to use hands to reach, handle or feel objects.
  • The employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
  •  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
